Guillermo, a German–Panamanian architect licensed in Berlin, has designed and built an array of projects –from urban planning to interiors– in the United States, Asia, and Europe. He joined the UNL College of Architecture in the Fall of 2016, having previously taught theory, design, and construction at The California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and the Animation School in Viborg, Denmark. His educational focus is on Design Fundamentals, implementing a hapto–digital© pedagogical approach, a multimodal methodology that applies varying systems of conceptualization, representation, and assembly. He has also taught graduate design studios with an emphasis on high urban density and sustainability. His main area of research is the permutation and assimilation of architectural precedent into contemporary design.
