SARA-NY RECOGNIZES UNL STUDENT WORK

Two student projects from the College of Architecture have been honored with awards from the 2017 Society of American Registered Architects | New York Council Design Awards program.

• Darin Hanigan, Brooke Sayler and Phung Hong won the 2017 Award of Merit for their “Bee Research Facility” from the ARCH 311/501 studio.

• Caitlin Tangeman and Meghan Janousek won the 2017 Award of Honor for their “Air Rights Architecture” from the ARCH 410 studio.

The jury reviewed 12 student entries this year and three winners were announced with two of them from UNL’s College of Architecture. This is the third consecutive year UNL students have been recognized by this organization.

The awards were presented Tuesday, June 20th at Battery Gardens Restaurant in Manhattan.
