After receiving her Masters degree, Lindsey worked as a fulltime architect in training for Leo A. Daly, Omaha. Participation in several projects included libraries Windward Community College in Honolulu, HI and proposal for West Henderson Public Library in Las Vegas, NV, Aksarben Village Shopping Center in Omaha, NE, and Hines VA Hospital Connection Link in Chicago, IL, plus various other projects. Lindsey was hired as an adjunct instructor to teach Visual Literacy and Elements in Architectural Design & Graphic Communications in ’04-’05 academic year and was hired to continue to pursue her professional practice endeavors at the firm Studio 951 in Lincoln, where she continues to practice and participate in many projects including various residences in the local area and the Great Ape Trust in Des Moines, IA.
Areas of Interest
Lindsey's interests lie in current and historical foundation design teaching methodology, the role of architectural theory as it is applied in the professional practice and the public sector, and the communication of architecture as a text inscribed in a landscape. Lindsey is continually dedicating further education and practice in the profession that will lead her to obtaining the Professional Architecture License and provide a foundation in investigating the intersection and boundaries between academia and professional practice.
