Teaching since 1973 in basic design, interior design studio, environment and behavior, and history of interiors, Betsy is currently a professor and Director of the Interior Design Program.
Areas of Interest
Emphasis in the examination of teaching methodologies related to design. Topics of interest include three-dimensional visualization and effectiveness of instructional methods. A corollary interest in environment and behavior has led to investigation of the design of housing to meet the needs of individuals over the life span. This has led to an investigation of the design of housing for special groups, e.g. elderly, low income.
