
Hyde Chair of Excellence 2007-2008
The UNL College of Architecture’s Hyde Chair of Excellence is available to creative architects, designers, and educators from a variety of backgrounds with unique credentials. The visiting Hyde Chair attracts emerging voices in architecture from both practice and teaching. Former Hyde Chairs include Dan Pietra, Susan Sanders, Bill Carpenter, Randy Brown, Julian Bonder, Martin Hogue, Johan Granberg and Paul Preissner.
The Department of Architecture is a dynamic and evolving unit located in Lincoln, Nebraska; a growing Great Plains community with a unique potential as a laboratory for contemporary architecture, landscape and urban design. This appointment is for the 2007-2008 academic year. The Hyde Chair shall direct a 5th/6th Year vertical studio both semesters, conduct a one credit hour seminar/workshop for one semester, present a public lecture and curate an exhibition. The Hyde Chair shall also particpate in various College activities and events, including studio reviews. Selection of the Hyde Chair will be based on the applicant’s potential for exposing our department to new directions in architecture and has established an on-going track record of original work in or about architecture. Review of Hyde Chair submissions will begin end of day Tuesday, Feb 13 2007.

(d) Hard copy portfolio of professional, and/or scholarly work
