The Barn
BARN USE POLICY
General
The use of the Barn requires responsibility and respect for others. Keeping
spaces clean and tidy makes work easier and avoids loss of time.
If found not respecting this policy, you may be reported to your studio professor and may affect your grade.
At all times, students should be respectful with other classes and critiques held in the barn. Try to keep the volume of your conversations as low as possible. Only personal stereos (headphones) are allowed.
Some semesters there will be areas in the Barn not scheduled for Visual Literacy or Basic Design Studios. These areas will be designated 'work areas' which everyone is welcome to use as long as the below policies are respected. Although, those areas scheduled for classes may only be used by those classes:
- Visual Literacy areas can only be used by Visual Literacy students.
- Basic Design Studio areas can only be used by second year students.
Spray Booth
No use of any type of aerosol spray or other toxic materials should be
used outside of the spray booth room.
Spray cans must be deposited in the "marked" spray can barrels located in and around the spray booth area. Any cans left unattended will be disposed of, or donated.
The spray booth should be left clean.

The Corral should be used exclusively for critique.
At the end of each critique, all materials should be picked up, and the Corral should be left clean.
Anything left there will be thrown away. Material and tools will be donated.
