Welcome back from spring break! I hope this finds you rejuvenated, reinvigorated and refreshed. We have four more weeks until Pencil’s Down, Dead Week and Finals. In that short time, there is a lot to take note of including thesis proposal due dates and registration for summer and fall classes. In addition, your projects are requiring that final drive for development and successful completion. Hopefully this is a time of excitement and satisfaction as you’re working to complete one more step toward the career and future of your dreams.

The old adage is “work smarter, not harder” – there are enough hours in the day, really. But as you go through the next several weeks, be thoughtful and see if you can do things more efficiently. Concentrate and immerse yourself in your particular task at hand. Remember that productivity can be drained by distractions and excuses, so focus (maybe put the phone and social media aside for a bit – just a suggestion). Press onward, get the projects completed, then work on refining and revising. Commit to a plan to create value in what you do. Lastly, whatever you do, don’t underestimate the value of sleep – it helps your body and mind to function better.

So work smart, take care of yourself and don’t forget to have a little fun along the way! Best of luck in this final push!
