Architecture Program News

Today is the start of final studio reviews in the college, and I wish you all great success. The Architecture Program will present on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Interior Design and Landscape Architecture Programs will present on Thursday and Friday. Good luck with your presentations, and I encourage everyone to attend each other’s reviews. This week is an excellent time to view and be inspired by your peers. Enjoy!

Recently the Architecture Program saw significant accomplishments by our students, faculty and alumni, as indicated by the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Nebraska announcements of Honors & Awards and Excellence in Design Awards.

On November 6, the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Nebraska announced the 2020 Honors & Awards. We are proud to celebrate the following recipients: Quinn McFadden (M. ARCH), Geneva Sinkula (4th-year ARCH), and Professor Jeff Day. Additionally, two UNL Architecture Program alumni, Ross Miller and Lowell Berg, were recognized with significant achievements. All the recipients are well-deserving of these significant accomplishments!

Additionally, the AIA Nebraska announced the 2020 Excellence in Design Awards. AIA-NE gave ten awards, and three awards were given to projects designed by or with UNL Architecture students. Please review the above link for project summary and jury comments.
