Areas of Interest & History

A practicing architect, Babe graduated from the University of Toronto with a professional degree in architecture in 1989, and spent 18 years working with Diamond Schmitt Architects, Michael Graves & Associates and Hopkins Architects, among others. He also holds a Master of Science in Architecture from the University of Houston where he concentrated on urban theory and the inner suburbs of Houston. He has taught architecture since 2007, at Texas A&M University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His academic interests include urbanism, the pedagogy of design, architectural composition, theory and tectonics. He presently teaches undergraduate design studios and site context issues at UNL.
