Assistant Professor Miyoung Hong engages in creative, interdisciplinary projects and research in partnership with market leaders committed to evidence-based design. Interdisciplinary aspects embracing design pedagogy, student development, sustainability and healthcare design define Hong’s scholarly work. Hong has practiced professionally in Asia and the United States with a focus on hospitality, corporate and healthcare design.

Research Interest:

Hong's research focuses on the impact of designed environments on human and organizational health. With her research, Hong would like to support healthcare facilities embracing evidence-base design as a means to improve end-users and resource outcomes. Another area of focus is the integration of health and wellness mindsets for students in the classroom.
