1990 Master of Architecture alumnus Ali Al Tasan is now senior vice president and engineering department manager at Riyad Bank in Saudi Arabia. During his tenure with Riyad Bank, Tasan has managed the construction of 75 bank branches valuing well over $237 million (USD). Most recently Tasan managed the relocation and construction of the Riyad Bank TierIII+ Data Centre with an estimated cost of $25 million (USD) and the construction of the five star Ascott Tower hotel with an estimated value of 47,184,270.
Tasan started at Riyad Bank in 1998 as their design section head in their engineering department developing architectural designs for their new and renovated branches. Riyad Bank is one of the largest financial institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Established in 1957, the company has grown to more than 5,600 employees.
Riyad Bank plays a leading role in various areas of finance and investment around Saudi Arabia. They are a leading financier and arranger of syndicated loans in the oil, petrochemicals and most of the Kingdom’s notable infrastructure projects.
