Landscape Architecture students are working this semester on a park master plan for the 90-acre historic, Fairmount Park in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The landscape architecture students are currently involved in the environmental planning and design process. The project goal is to maintain and enhance the oak hickory forest while incorporating a new park program. These photos show our students researching the site and collecting information.

If you are an LA student, we’d love to see your photos posted here as well and let us know what your favorite part of the process has been. Email your photos to and comments to architecture@unl.edu

Can’t wait to see those concepts!
