The College of Architecture is pleased to announce its new business manager, Lori Bennett Baumli. Since joining the University in 1997, Baumli has held several managerial positions in various areas including the Athletics Department, IANR Filley Hall Business Center, the Food Processing Center, and most recently the Psychology Department as its business manager.
"The College of Architecture is excited to begin this new chapter in its history with a great administration team," said Interim Dean Scott Killinger. "Lori brings to the table a wide-breath of experience in business development, financial management, human relations and strategic planning. Even though her official first day was Sept. 14th, she has already begun work on our 5-year College financial review among numerous other projects. She has given new meaning to the phrase 'hitting the ground running.'"
In addition to financial management, Baumli will supervise the College's business and finance team as well as work with administrators, faculty, and staff to develop and implement best business practices for human resources and appropriate policies for expenditures, contracts, and grants.
Baumli has also been very involved with on-campus organizations such as the University Association for Administrative Development (UAAD) serving as a board member and co-chair of the Membership Committee and vice chair and later chair of the Arts and Sciences Staff Council.
A native of Newman Grove, NE, Baumli went to Southeast Community College and received an associate’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing. She then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Doane College, with a double major in Business Administration and in Human Relations. She then went on for her master’s degree in Management.
