The ART COLLECTIVE is located in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska and poses a re-use of the former YMCA building. This project facilitates the exchange of skills and ideas with flexible spaces creating a more collaborative creative community. With a focus in lowering barriers of participation the collective will hold space for local artists, makers, and performers to engage with the community. Design strategies prioritized included EXPLORATIVE CIRCULATION + DISCOVERABLE VIEW POINTS + VOLUMETRIC MANIPULATION + ENCLOSURE CURIOSITY.
