Charles E. Peterson Prize
The National Park Service's Heritage Documentation Programs (HDP), The Athenaeum of Philadelphia, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and the Association for Preservation Technology International (APT) announce the Charles E. Peterson Prize, which annually recognizes the best set of measured drawings prepared to HDP standards and donated to HDP by students.

Leicester B. Holland Prize
The Leicester B. Holland Prize is an annual competition that recognizes the best single-sheet measured drawing of a historic building, structure or site prepared to the standards of the National Park Service's Heritage Documentation Programs (HDP). The sheet may be prepared for the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), Historic American Engineering Record (HAER), or Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS). The prize is supported by the Paul Rudolph Trust, the American Institute of Architects, and the Library of Congress's Center for Architecture, Design, and Engineering. The prize honors Leicester B. Holland (1882-1952), FAIA, chairman of the AIA's Committee on Historic Buildings, head of the Fine Arts Division of the Library of Congress, first curator of the HABS collection, co-founder of the HABS program in the 1930s, and the first chair of the HABS Advisory Board.

‘T’ Space Summer Architecture Residency “Correlations” Applications Are Open
Application period for the T’ Space Summer Architecture Residency “Correlations” is now open.
Five residents will be selected by a jury on a competitive basis, including students and young professionals in architecture, design, and visual arts.
The 25-day intensive studio challenges participants to think and design critically. Residents enjoy theoretical and experimental freedom as they design a site-specific project unique to their program. The program includes design critiques, pin-ups, lectures and conversations with invited professionals.

Kaira Looro Architecture Competition
Kaira Looro Architecture Competition, a non profit contest for students and young architects on humanitarian architectures in developing countries. Here is an opportunity for research and professional growth for students with the current edition of the competition.
The architecture contest theme is the design of a Children's House in Africa (Senegal), to promote health and nutrition. The competition aims to launch the careers of new architectural talent, to raise awareness in the international community on the emergencies issue, and to support humanitarian projects. Indeed, the proceeds of the competition will be entirely devolved to Balouo Salo's charity projects and to the construction of the winning project of the competition.
There will be cash prizes and internships at the architectural firms in the jury.

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon® is a collegiate competition, initiated in 2002, that has grown to showcase much more than solar technologies. Today, the 10 contests that are the foundation of Solar Decathlon inspire student teams to design and build highly efficient buildings powered by renewables, while optimizing for key considerations including affordability, resilience, and occupant health. Steel Competition
The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) is pleased to announce the Annual Steel Design Student Competition for this academic year. Administered by the ACSA and sponsored by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the program is intended to challenge undergraduate and graduate students, working individually or in teams, to explore a variety of design issues related to the use of steel in design and construction. Steel must be used as the primary structural material and contain at least one space that requires long-span steel structure, with special emphasis placed on innovation in steel design.

The Existing Conditions Innovation Challenge
Entrants are tasked with crafting a single, comprehensive architectural illustration that encapsulates their in-depth analysis and understanding of a real-world project, based on the 3D point cloud and Revit model we supply. This visual representation should not only demonstrate technical proficiency and innovation in digital documentation but also convey a clear, compelling narrative about the project’s architectural significance, spatial dynamics, potential for sustainability, and integration within its environment. Students will create a three- to five-minute video narrative to accompany their architectural illustration.

AIA National Photography Competition
The AIA National Photography Competition was founded to capture and honor architects, design professionals and architectural students whose amazing talents are showcased in their photographic interpretation of the designed environment.
The competition is open to all architects actively registered in the United States, AIA Associates, and architecture students at an accredited architecture school. License architects do not have to be an AIA members to enter.
All Architects are welcome and encouraged to submit photos!
All award-winning images will be posted on the AIA St. Louis website and social media.
The top award-winning images will be highlighted in the digital edition of the Architectural Record Magazine and website.
