Okeanos Aquarium

Okeanos is an Aquarium Hotel located in South Beach Miami, Florida that aims to celebrate marine ecology. Through the exploration of hospitality and entertainment design, this project hopes to provide educational, experiential, and engaging environments to the surrounding community. Accessibility to the ocean, cultural diversity, and the design aesthetic of South Beach allows for the possibility to reach many diverse communities. Locals and vacationers alike will be able to experience the connection between global climate issues, marine ecology, and the ocean. To spread awareness on these issues including global warming and climate change, an oceanography exhibit and aquarium will showcase a plethora of marine ecology including species of aquatic life and coral reefs. Physical exhibits and digital exhibits that integrate holograms, and other technology will encourage an elevated experience and create awe inspiring spaces. Hotel guests can capitalize on the marine ecology experience with the integration of aquariums in each suite, uniquely designed rooms, a roof top pool, and shared hospitality spaces including a full restaurant and bar. With the ocean only a block away guests can experience what sea life and other exciting activities awaits while concluding their experience at Okeanos Aquarium and Hotel.
