Adam Wiese is a lecturer and partner at RDG Planning & Design, where he serves as a design architect collaborating on projects nationwide across a range of markets. His expertise spans master planning, conceptual design, and detailed design/build fabrication. At RDG, Wiese also leads the firm’s material research and testing group, underscoring his commitment to hands-on design innovation and exploration.

Wiese’s design research is driven by a dual focus: the digital sociological impacts of the post-Internet era on domestic space, and tactile, sustainable material testing and fabrication. His interdisciplinary approach informs both his professional work and academic contributions.

Since 2020, Wiese has been a lecturer at the College of Architecture, teaching DSGN 410: Design Studio – Collaborate (Fall 2020) and ARCH 310: Organize (Fall 2021–2024). His studios emphasize narrative architecture and storytelling as tools to investigate the relationship between “object” and “abstract thought,” revealing unique experiences and unexpected adjacencies within the ordinary. Blending academic insight with professional practice, Wiese offers students a dynamic and diverse learning environment that encourages critical thinking and design exploration.
