Associate Professor Brian M. Kelly, AIA has been appointed to a one-year position on the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Education Committee by NCARB President-elect Robert Calvani, FAIA.

Members of the Education Committee contribute to the development of programs and initiatives impacting architecture education including oversight of the NCARB Education Standard, education alternatives for NCARB certification, Integrated Path to Architectural Licensure (IPAL) and life-long learning opportunities.

The committee is comprised of architects, members of state licensing boards, educators and licensure candidates from around the country.

In addition to the NCARB committee appointment, Kelly serves as a Board Member on the State of Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects whose mission is to establish requirements for education, experience, examination and enforcement of state statutes for the practices of engineering and architecture to safeguard life, health, and property, and to promote the public welfare.

“Brian Kelly has demonstrated an impressive commitment to educating the next generation of emerging professionals and the continued prosperity of our profession by serving on regional and national boards and committees like NCARB’s Education Committee,” said Architecture Program Director David Karle. “It speaks volumes to the dedication and quality of our faculty.”
