Media Center Services

The Media Center offers printing, supplies and equipment checkout for project presentation, development and documentation for students in the College of Architecture. During open hours, the Media Center in Room 22 is staffed by student employees knowledgeable in the college’s printing processes. After hours in Room 21, students can print and laser cut during the hours students have access to the building utilizing the college’s PaperCut system.

In-house printing services include:

8.5” x 11” and 11” x 17” black and white or color in both 20 lb and 60 lb stock
Large format black and white printing (36” wide max)
Large format color printing (36” wide max) in coated bond, hi-gloss, satin, mylar, or vellum stock

Media Center supplies for sale include:

2-ply Chipboard in 32” x 46” sheets
Foam core board in in 1/8” or 3/16” thickness
Museum board in 1-ply, 2-ply, and 4-ply thicknesses

Shop supplies for sale include:

½” thick MDF
½” thick OSB
Blue Ridged Foam insulation in ½”, 1” and 2” thicknesses

Equipment available for checkout in the media center include: digital cameras, computer projection equipment and photography equipment. Adjacent to the Media Center students will find a model photography studio. The photo studio has backdrops and lighting available during the hours students have access to the building. Additionally fabrication equipment such as laser cutters and 3D printers are located in the Media Center.
