UCARE Student Alum and Faculty Member Co-Author Book
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Interior Design Professor Mark Hinchman and interior design alum and former UCARE student Elyssa Yoneda have recently published a book titled “Interior Design Masters”. To honor this work, the College of Architecture invites the public to attend a book signing scheduled April 23rd from 12:30 to 1:30pm in the Architecture Hall Link.

Business and College of Architecture Students Place Top-Five in Global Competition
Two points stood between four Nebraska students and a trip to Hong Kong to compete in the world finals of the CoreNet Global Academic Challenge. Faced with more than 40 teams from 36 countries around the globe, these Nebraska students took advantage of their interdisciplinary team to earn a fourth place finish.

Alumna’s career a monument to heritage, mettle
Throughout a two-decade career that recently saw her found a Manhattan-based engineering and architectural firm, Husker alumna Erleen Hatfield has proven herself the real McCoy.
Befitting her name, Hatfield’s technical prowess informed the design of a revolutionary retractable roof that caps the Atlanta Falcons’ massive Mercedes-Benz Stadium and housed Super Bowl LIII.

Sherri (Arnold) Privitera doesn’t believe in work-life balance.
“The word balance is hard for women in particular,” she explained. “I like to call it work-life integration because there isn’t ever balance. Sometimes you need to spend more time in your home or personal life, and sometimes you need to spend more time on your work deadlines.”
