The College of Architecture is excited to announce Aaron Tvrdy, nationally renowned furniture design-maker, will be giving a Godfrey & Roberta Kunzendorf Lecture on Furniture Design titled “A Journey into Custom Sustainable Furniture” at 4 p.m., October 4, in Architecture Hall, Room 127.

During the 2024 spring semester, College of Architecture students re-imagine the Lincoln Indian Center as a native retreat aiming to help uplift the urban indigenous community of Lincoln and Omaha.

The expansion of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s iconic Architecture Hall will honor a longstanding collaboration with HDR, an Omaha-based architecture/engineering firm.

More than 6,800 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year, 163 were from the College of Architecture. Qualification for the Deans’ List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center. To qualify for the Deans’ List, College of Architecture students must earn a 3.75 GPA.

What does Barbie the architect and Barbie the movie art director have in common? One might think, not a lot. However, there are quite a surprising number of design professionals that work on movie sets who either have architecture or interior design degrees.

The College of Architecture is pleased to announce Assistant Professor Kendra Ordia was honored with the 2023 Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) Teaching Excellence Award! Ordia was awarded this accolade because of her efforts in crafting nature-integrated interiors through biophilic experiential learning methodology in teaching studios.
