Christopher Martin delivers first COA lecture of the season
The College of Architecture is excited to announce Christopher Martin, nationally renowned furniture design-maker, will be giving a Godfrey & Roberta Kunzendorf Lecture on Furniture Design titled “Design Tangents; A Story of Exploration and Common Threads” at 4 p.m., October 28, in the Union Swanson Auditorium.

Van Den Wymelenberg selected to lead College of Architecture
Kevin Van Den Wymelenberg has been named the new dean of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s College of Architecture.
Van Den Wymelenberg will officially assume the position Jan. 5, pending approval by the University of Nebraska Board of Regents. Katherine Ankerson, executive vice chancellor, made the announcement on Oct. 24.

Diverse designers exhibition features current architecture students, alumni
Bringing more awareness to design diversity across Nebraska, the College of Architecture is hosting the “Say It Loud,” a traveling exhibition featuring diverse designers — including two current University of Nebraska-Lincoln students and 24 alumni.
The exhibition will be on campus Oct. 11-16 near the Willa Cather Dining Complex.

At least three Huskers played a role in Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta; most memorably, Rex Burkhead, whose overtime touchdown run in the AFC Championship game sealed the New England Patriots’ berth in the Super Bowl held at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Just in time for the fall semester, the College of Architecture opens up a new library and new studios as part one of a two-phased construction project which began last year and is estimated to be completed in late fall of 2023.
