The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) has given Associate Professor and Program Director David Karle and BVH Design Principal and Lecturer Mark Bacon from the University of Nebraska’s College of Architecture an Honorable Mention for their 2022 AIA/ACSA Practice and Leadership Award.

Kuska named interim dean
Over this past month there have been many leadership changes at the University of Nebraska. Recently, dean Katherine Ankerson was named as UNL’s executive vice chancellor for academic affairs. While we are excited for her, we will miss Kathy’s leadership and enthusiasm for academic excellence that has propelled the college to new levels for nearly six years as our dean.

Nebraska manufacturer partners with college with investment in innovation and research
Working to elevate design excellence, student engagement and innovation, Nebraska-based Timberlyne, manufacturer of pre-built post and beam kits, pledges $50,000 to the College of Architecture to establish the Sand Creek Post & Beam Design and Fabrication Fund which will provide competitive grants to support wood construction research and fabrication.
