Betsy Gabb has extensive teaching expertise in basic design, interior design studio, and environment and behavior. She is an emerita professor of the Interior Design Program.
Her research interests focus on the examination of teaching methodologies related to design. Corollary topics of interest include three-dimensional visualization and effectiveness of instructional methods. In addition, her teaching related to environment and behavior has led to investigation of the design of housing to meet the needs of individuals over the life span. This has led to an investigation of the design of housing for special groups, e.g. elderly, low income.
