Managing Principal, Perkins+Will Architects

A 1981 graduate of the UNL College of Architecture, Miller began his professional career in Omaha. After gaining valuable experience at two small architectural firms, Dunbar Associates and Bruce Frasier Architects, he joined HDR in 1988. In 2000, Miller moved to Chicago as managing principal of HDR Architecture’s Chicago office. In March 2014, Miller joined Perkins+Will Chicago as healthcare principal. 

Miller’s career includes over 30 years of project work in the healthcare industry, focusing on all aspects of healthcare planning and design. Miller leads design teams to create vibrant, state-of-the-art healthcare facilities that set high standards for patient care. He fosters a collaborative approach in which client needs are creatively translated into built environments.

A member of PAC since 2016, he also has participated in university collaborations with the University of Nebraska and the University of Illinois’ College of Architecture.

Personal interests include: cycling, travel, sports, architecture, history and family.
