Award-winning art director Alex Gordon Stotz, one of the creative driving forces behind blockbuster hits like “Barbie,” “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” and more, will be delivering the next Hyde Lecture entitled “Architecture in Film.” This event is presented by the College of Architecture and the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts in collaboration with Sheldon Muse

Laurel Consuelo Broughton, founder of the internationally acclaimed design firm WELCOME, will be giving the next Hyde Lecture entitled “Welcome Projects” on October 28, 2024, at 4 pm in Architecture Hall, Room 127.

Renowned visionary and global design leader, Jennifer Kolstad, from the Ford Motor Company, will be giving the first Hyde Lecture of the season entitled “One of One” on October 14, 2024, at 4 pm in Architecture Hall, Room 127.

The College of Architecture is pleased to announce Assistant Professor of Interior Design Kendra Ordia was honored with two prestigious accolades from the American Society of Interior designers (ASID):  this year’s 2024 ASID Educator of the Year Award and has been named one of seven to serve as director at large on the ASID National Board of Directors.

A group of University of Nebraska–Lincoln researchers and students is in Nairobi, Kenya, to learn about forced migration-affected persons, families and communities as part of the Pamoja Project.

More than 6,600 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester of the 2023-24 academic year, 204 were from the College of Architecture. Qualification for the Deans’ List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center. To qualify for the Deans’ List, College of Architecture students must earn a 3.75 GPA.

Our 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration was a phenomenal, sold-out triumph! Witnessing everyone unite to commemorate this significant milestone was truly heartwarming. In addition to the Gala, alumni-led events—ranging from mixers and a charrette to a film festival and a wrap-up breakfast—added a delightful touch to the festivities.
