The College of Architecture is excited to announce our second annual Architecture Symposium: Alternative Architectures featuring the work of Master of Architecture alumni who have leveraged design research in unique ways to advance their career and the allied design professions. The symposium will be held at Omaha by Design, February 9 from 6-8pm.

Five students from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Architecture have been honored with awards from the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA), National Design Awards 2022 program.

College of Architecture students and University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) researchers are working to bring new life to a Cold War relic here in Nebraska.

Since she was young, Phuong Nguyen has been passionate about design and the spaces around her. After coming to Nebraska from Ha Long, Vietnam, she immersed herself in interior design and architecture, earning a B.S. in interior design in 2014 and an M.S. in architecture in 2017.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Dale L. Gibbs Emeritus Professor of Architecture, who was a colleague, teacher, mentor, friend and so much more to the alumni, students, staff and faculty of the College of Architecture. 

It took 15 architecture students about 12 hours over two days to create five prototype plant stands or coat trees that were practical, aesthetically pleasing and symbolic.

The College of Architecture is pleased to announce Jan Knikker, strategy and development director for MVRDV, the internationally acclaimed design firm, will be giving the next Hyde lecture titled “What’s next? NEXT!” at 4 p.m., November 7, at Richards Hall, room 15.

The College of Architecture is excited to announce a dual, Hyde lecture featuring the work and design practices of renown architects Matt Wallace of Lake|Flato Architects and Matthew Kreilich of Snow Kreilich Architects.

The pair will present their individual presentations, November 4, in the Union Swanson Auditorium at 4pm.

The College of Architecture is excited to announce Christopher Martin, nationally renowned furniture design-maker, will be giving a Godfrey & Roberta Kunzendorf Lecture on Furniture Design titled “Design Tangents; A Story of Exploration and Common Threads” at 4 p.m., October 28, in the Union Swanson Auditorium.
