DLR Group and the College of Architecture celebrated the opening of the newly remodeled Architecture Hall studios during a ribbon cutting ceremony held this past weekend.

After several years in the making, University of Nebraska students will soon see their vision for affordable housing in Valentine, Nebraska, become a reality. Thanks to a collaboration focusing on rural, attainable housing with College of Architecture faculty and students, Lincoln-based Hoppe Development is breaking ground on a townhouse project in Valentine.

Valentine’s Main Street looks a little different lately. In summer 2019, the Nebraska Department of Transportation began repaving Highway 83, which runs through Valentine’s business district, and the Sandhills city got to work revitalizing its downtown streetscape.

More than 6,200 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester of the 2021-22 academic year.

The College of Architecture in partnership with SGH Concepts and Dri-Design, have established a student scholarship competition for the fourth-year, undergraduate, architectural design studios. Today jury members awarded these well-deserved accolades:

2010 and 2012 alumna and architect Kate Hier is shaping the trajectory of the profession through service. Recently Hier was elected to the following boards: AURP Board of Directors, Nebraska Heart and St. Elizabeth Community Board of Directors.

Two undergraduate students in the College of Architecture’s Interior Design Program were selected for the Metropolis Future 100, a list naming the top 50 interior design and top 50 architecture students graduating in North America this spring.
