Lecturer Frank Ordia Receives Historic Preservation Award
Frank E. Ordia, lecturer in the College of Architecture, has received the 2023 Great Commoner Award, presented by the Preservation Association of Lincoln (PAL). Among eight awards presented annually by PAL, the Great Commoner Award recognizes outstanding efforts in preservation education. Ordia was honored with the award at PAL’s Annual Meeting, Awards Ceremony & 30th Birthday Celebration.

Kelly Dubisar named Alumni Master
Interior Design 2002 Alumna Kelly Dubisar was named as one of the Nebraska Alumni Association's Alumni Masters.
Dubisar is an award-winning Design Principal for Gensler, a global architecture, design and planning firm. She has used her creative energy to provide tailored design solutions for iconic clients such as Instagram, Google, and LinkedIn.

Handa and Williams among 26 honored by 2023 Women of Courage, Character and Commitment Award
Twenty-six students, staff and faculty will be honored by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Women’s Center with the 2023 Women of Courage, Character and Commitment Award.
The annual award recognizes women from the campus and Lincoln communities who have made positive impacts through professional, personal, mentoring or peer relationships.

UNL students creating public art space in downtown Lincoln neighborhood
Striving to improve Nebraska communities, College of Architecture students are working to create a public art space in the economically depressed, south downtown neighborhood in Lincoln. Once complete, the Art Chapel will offer studio space, exhibitions, classes and other art-related events for the community.

Huskers named to fall Deans’ List
More than 6,900 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year, 177 were from the College of Architecture.
Qualification for the Deans’ List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center.
